Zen Koan 1 by Noel Lorenz

Once a man asked a sage, "I have success, a good wife, beautiful children, big house, plenty to eat, servants, people respect me, but still I am not happy. Tell me the secret of happiness."

The sage gazed at him for sometime.

The man got curious of this silence and added, "Please say something. Why are you silent?"

The sage smiled and said, "Silence your thoughts and let the internal chatter fade. Now go. Come back only if you ever feel unhappy again."

The man got enlightened and he never visited him again.
